Find your big time crush at...Big Time Crush
I was watching the new show on VH1 put on by the Seduction Community with Mystery and others. It appears that Mystery is the leading man in the Seduction Community. Him and Neil Strauss seem to share the spotlight.
The Seduction Community is a community of pick up artists and that is the name of the show. Mystery taught his students the different techniques of getting a girl interested and "closing" the scenario. "Closing" is misunderstood.
It's not necessarily about getting a girl to come home with you and spend the night. It's more like getting her phone number or getting a kiss from her. Of course, it can go as far as it wants to go. But, closing is getting her interested and getting the date, or getting her to come to the party or what have you.
I defended the Seduction Community in an article I wrote one time because I didn't see it as a dishonest community of people who take advantage of women. Women make up their own minds in the situation. But, the Seduction Community is full of people who had no self esteem and was always getting rejected.
Now, they study and they practice being charming, alluring, attractive and worthy of everyone's attention. I don't think that's a wrong thing. Dating is hard enough.
For every woman in a room, there are a handful of men competing for her attention. There are several ways to look at this, but it's basic logic. A woman gets hit on her entire life. She's told from an early age that she's beautiful by her family and friends and it's jut a part of life to get a line from someone at a party or at the club.
On the other hand, a guy doesn't get that much attention. Not us average guys anyway. We have to learn how to stand out or we just don't get the girl...ever.
So while women are becoming masters of the dating game all their lives, men go through life getting nervous and being afraid of rejection. I'm not saying it's like that all the time in every situation. Some women aren't good at dating and some men are natural. I'm just talking about the common way it is.
When a guy walks up to a girl, there is very little he can say that is unique. She's probably heard it all before. So, he has to do a great deal with body language. That's why I feel the way I do about the Seduction Community.
When CSI: Miami made a point to do one of their shows highlighting the Seduction Community, I thought it went overboard a little. There are some men who don't get it and take advantage of a situation, that's true. But, that's not what it's about.
It's about helping more men be able to be comfortable with themselves in the company of beautiful women and to actually attract a few. That's it.
That's like the online dating game. Especially when you can find out who likes you first before you return your attention to them. Flirting with your crush is the safest bet. I mean, she already likes you. Can't get much safer than that!
