The final step in Making Money Online
Step 5: Promote
Before you think this is actually the last step, I have to tell you that you have so much more to learn. But, this is enough to get you started and it's enough to make money.
You have to get better at everything you do. You have to improve your site. You have to choose better products. Make sure you choose high conversion products. It makes your job so much easier when the products can practically sell themselves.
But, you need to promote. This is where you have to be observant of everything that's going on around you. If you are being advertised to, decide if it's effective. If it is, find out what makes it effective. Then, model it.
But, here's where you can go to get started. Social networking sites have profiles. Never hesitate to mention your business and the URL. Most of the traffic on social networking sites is self-motivated. They look for you. So, make sure it's worth it when you have millions of people crawling social networking sites every day.
Write articles and publish them on EzineArticles, AssociatedContent and Scribd. There are others, but these are the most active and they allow you to syndicate your articles. That means if 1,000 people read your article on the site and then 15 syndicate it, you have no idea how many people are actually reading your article. One newsletter might have 100,000 readers. Your article appears with a byline, so that's where you need your URL.
Create a Squidoo Lens and put up your own blog. RSS feed your blog into your Squidoo Lens and you'll have updated, active information every time you post a new blog entry. Download the wordpress software from wordpress.org and follow the directions. It's the best blog software on the net and you can upload the software so that your blog is right on your site. Say you have a site that is http://sportsequipment.com. You can have a blog at http://sportsequipment.com/blog or some other variation that's all up to you.
Ok, those are the things to get started on now. Every one of those steps are free. So, that's free traffic and a huge profit margin. Then, pay attention to everything you see and try to model what others are doing if you find it effective.
